Four wooden saunas

At the end of the yard, in a building of their own.

There are 4 saunas, built of pale timber, with wide benches and plank walls. They stand at the end of the yard, a few steps from the chalet, with a washing area beside them.

Ask for one on the phone or once you are here. If you are coming with a group and need several at the same time, say so when you call.

The ciubăr, its water heated over a wood fire

The ciubăr is a wooden hot tub and it stands in the open air. The water is not heated electrically but over a wood fire, the way it is done here — which is why it takes time and is only prepared on request.

Tell us when you call if you want it, so it is warm by the hour you arrive. In winter, with snow all around, it is another thing entirely.

The woods, the river and the quiet

The chalet sits in Poiana la Doi Meri, with woods around it and the river Suha running past the yard. Nothing here has to be done: you can walk in the woods, sit on the balcony, or sleep until noon.

The gazebo in the glade is where most people end up, with a book or a coffee. The rest of the region — the monasteries, the citadel, the salt mine — is under things to see, if your plans change.

How to ask for it

The saunas and the ciubăr are booked by phone, along with the room or once you are here; the ciubăr is prepared on request, so it is warm by the time you arrive.
